Belkin wifi print server

Connecting my Epson C84 to the Desktop computer, I can print wirelessly from iBook with filesharing turned on.

This is a very cheap way of setting up an Apple WiFi with remote printing. The second router acts as a repeater. My network extends from one building to another. I realize there's no PC in this setup, just my two cents. Yes, I did that, too. And everytime the desktop went to sleep the printer disappeared from the network.

I've pinged it and the Mac can see it OK. I've set the ip address as per the other PCs and the queue as lp1 but no success! I can only think of two problems: the printer is in the other queue, lp2, or there is a network problem.

Did you try the other queue too? I sometimes can't print, but at such moment I can't ping it neither. Switching the printserver off and on always works. It sounds like a driver problem. Does the printer work fine when it's attached directly to the computer? Did you try both gimp and HP drivers? How about printing from a Windows PC, does that give any problems or do you not have a windows machine in your network?
